ICS acquired Emporis, Provider of Global Building Information

Hamburg, Jan 05, 2011 - ICS, an internet holding company based in Hamburg/Germany, announced that it has acquired the privately-held Emporis GmbH. Emporis is a leading provider of building information on a global basis. Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Frankfurt/Germany, the company runs the world´s largest website about buildings. Emporis was formerly known as Skyscrapers.com.

Emporis' web-based products are focused on the construction, real estate and internet industries. The product suite includes rich data services, new innovative advertising solutions and a worldwide building stock photo offering. Emporis' client base, over 70% of which is US-based, includes CB Richard Ellis, ThyssenKrupp, KONE, Boston Consulting Group, Johnson Controls, SOMFY as well as various governmental institutions.
