Die LBBW plant insgesamt drei neue Gebäude direkt im Anschluss an ihr Hauptgebäude am Hauptbahnhof. Ende Januar wurde im Rahmen eines dazu ausgelobten Einladungswettbewerbs von der Beurteilungskommission einstimmig entschieden, Wolfram Wöhr mit dem Gesamtprojekt zu betrauen. Das Hochhaus blieb jedoch damals in Konkurrenz, da das Gremium empfohlen hat, diese Entscheidung erst nach einer Überarbeitung der Entwürfe von Wöhr und des Stuttgarter Büros Belz, Kucher und Partner zu treffen.
