About Ourense

107,510 in city
84 km² (32 mi²)
Capital city of the Galician province of Ourense. Famous for its bath houses, the history of those goes back to the Roman Empire times. Remained quite small until the nineteenth century. Right now stands as the third largest Galician city, and has been able to attract lots of new companies that have enriched the city. Few available land has resulted in quite dense construction, with average height of buildings standing at 10 floors. New projects and new neighbourhoods are being built, with more and more high rises expected in the next couple of years.
