Monaco is an independent state/principality on the Côte d'Azur, surrounded by France and ruled by the Grimaldi Family. The country's size is little more than a square mile, smaller than New York's Central Park. Monaco is divided into 4 districts: Monaco-Ville, La Condamine, Monte-Carlo and Fontvieille, mostly gained from the sea. Monaco is famous for its casino, exclusive lifestyle and sporting events like the F1 Monaco Grand Prix.
Monaco's skyline is dominated by a large number of residential highrises, mostly built between the 1960s and the 1980s.
