Gaborone is the capital and biggest city in Botswana. The town is also the fastest growing in all of Africa.
Gaborone is a new city with a carefully planned out city centre, spanning out from the Government Enclave that houses the Parliament and most of the government offices, including the new Department of Taxes and Attorney General's Chambers Building. Outside of the centre the city is dominated by low density residential areas and light industry.
Gaborone Central Business District is still under construction, and the downtown area consists of the government district and the pedestrian area The Mall.
