  • The 2005 addition and renovation by Michael Graves & RSP Architects expanded the structure to the east, including the addition of a second theater, expanded prop shops, an education wing, and a new dance studio.
  • Founded in 1965, the Children's Theatre Company ranks among the three largest such organizations in the world. In 2003 it was awarded the Regional Theatre Tony Award.
  • The original building was designed by Kenzo Tange and is directly connected to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts through an addition he also designed.
