  • Built for George Reifel, who opened the Commodore Ballroom downtown around the same time.
  • Considered by many as Vancouver's most favourite legendary mansion.
  • The mansion's art deco ballroom, with sprung dance floor and stage, got a lot of use in the 1940s when jazz musicians like Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Dizzy Gillespie came here for late-night parties.
