  • Purchased by the City of Vancouver on March 19, 1974, and after completely restoring the interior, it was reopened on April 2, 1977 as the permanent home of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
  • When opened in 1927, as a vaudeville house, it was the largest theatre on the Pacific Coast.
  • The Orpheum has 2,790 seats.
  • Designated a National Historic Site in 1979.
