  • The tower was to have been set back 200 feet from to allow for a large public plaza.
  • The tower was to have featured a sweeping glass and aluminium curtain wall in the International style, complete with an observation level on the 41st floor.
  • If built, this would have been the tallest building in the southeastern United States, surpassing the State of Georgia Building in Atlanta, as well as the tallest in North Carolina surpassing the Winston Tower in Winston-Salem.
