Facts

  • Mabel Ellen Boultbee died at the Ritz Hotel in 1953, the first white child born on Burrard Inlet. She was 77.
  • Completed as apartments in 1924 and converted to a hotel in 1929.
  • Radio station CJOR started here in 1926 before moving its broadcast studios to the basement of the Grosvenor Hotel in 1930, remaining there until 1983.
