  • The original structure was designed by Graham, Burnham & Company, and the major expansion to the north was completed in 1935 to the designs of the successor firm, Graham, Anderson, Probst & White.
  • A major reconstruction completed in 1993 included a major increase in floor area through additional construction in the courtyard area and the addition of a mezzanine floor.
  • The building now houses many uses, including commercial office space, parking, the National Postal Museum, restaurant and bar space, while continuing to serve as a working post office.
