Facts

  • Replaced Colman Dock Clock Tower after it was struck by the steamship "Alameda" in April 1912.
  • The tower suffered again in August of 1914 when the adjacent Grand Trunk Pacific Dock caught fire. The Clock Tower was saved by firefighters who kept spraying water over Colman Dock, causing extensive water damage.
