  • The Gothic tower is built of ashlar stone and dates from around 1300; the remainder of the church is mainly 19th century and is built from ironstone.
  • The south side of the tower sports a sun dial which dates back to the 18th century.
  • Cited in Simon Jenkins' 'England's Thousand Best Churches'.
  • In the 1990s the stained glass clock face was replaced with one made from polycarbonate to resist vandalism.
