This is a renovation of the tallest structure in the old Roots Manufacturing Complex.
The completed facility will house educational programs in conjunction with the locally-based Community Education Coalition. Extension programs orginating from the Indiana University East campus located in Richmond, about 20 miles to the northeast, will also be housed here.
It was originally constructed for the Connersville Furniture Company, and featured direct access to road, rail, and water transportation. A branch of the Whitewater Canal ran directly through the building.
