The main span is 300-feet (100-meters) long.
The original design by da Vinci called for the bridge to rise 120-feet (40-meters) above the Bosphorus with a 720-foot (240-meter) single span, a width of 72 feet (24 meters), and a length of 1080 feet (360 meters).
The original bridge was designed for the Sultan Bajazet II of Constantinople (Istanbul) in 1502, but was never built.
