Facts

  • The original main facade and entrance, which had two large towers, was replaced in 1948 with a modern entrance.
  • The original structure was built of native Platteville limestone in 1860. Later remodelling changed the original Main Street facade from a single gothic church tower, to twin brick towers with bell installations. The main front of the building was rebuilt with brick.
