  • Architect Jan van Ruysbroeck, in the 15th century famous for his design for Hôtel de Ville / Stadhuis in Brussels, designed the spire of the church. This spire is called the 'miracle of Leuven' because it is completely made out of stone; no wood, nails etc. were used.
