  • The Jenkins Arcade was an expansion of the 7-story Jenkins Building, built in 1864. Together, the two buildings occupied approximately three-quarters of a city block.
  • It was named a Historic Landmark by the City of Pittsburgh in 1972.
  • All the buildings on this block, including the Empire Building, were demolished in 1984 to make for Fifth Avenue Place.
