  • Originally four stories tall, a fifth floor was added in the early 20th century.
  • A landmark 50' tall clocktower was added atop the 65' high roof in 1921.
  • Closed in 1979, in its heyday it was the leading department store in the north shore area.
  • The fifth floor and tower were destroyed by arson in 1989.
  • A renovation into 63 units of residential lofts with a fifth-floor penthouse and street-level retail space was completed in 2007.
