This hotel is one of perhaps hundreds of buildings across Japan designed by Hidetsugu Aneha.
The cost of the reinforcements cost the hotel 60 million yen, while lost revenues, while closed, are estimated to be 80 million yen.
This hotel was the first of many to close its doors when the building standards by which was built were found to be only 55% of the minimum required by law for earthquakeproof features. As of March, 2006, the hotel has been reinforced and has reopened to public use.
Formely known as Isesaki Sun Hotel.
