  • The Women's City Club of Detroit grew to be one of the world's largest women's organizations, topping 8,000 members.
  • The building received a facade treatment at the end of 2006, which included the replacement of the building's historic windows.
  • The Women's City Club of Detroit was housed in this building from 1925 to 1975. Three years later the building was converted into a residential hotel with a health spa, lounge, and dinning area.
  • The architect's wife, Mary Chase Perry Stratton, was a famous Detroit artist who founded Pewabic Tile. Some of her ceramic tile work is featured on this building.
