Facts

  • This lighthouse, located at the southernmost tip of Minnesota Point guided ships into Superior Bay. It became increasingly obsolete after the completion of the Duluth Ship Canal in 1871.
  • Now just a ruin, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
