  • Inaugurated by Kaiser Wilhelm 2, who also made up initial design sketches for the bell tower.
  • Built on the ruins of a 12th century crusader church, using some of the remains.
  • Tallest Bell Tower inside the old city (Ir Atika).
  • Above the front door are symbols of the German eagle, cross of the Saint Johan Mission and the symbolic lamb.
