Faulkner USA proposal calls for 600 room, 23-story hotel that will have a total cost of US $168,000,000.
Ashforth Pacific proposal calls for 400 room, 22-story hotel that will have a total cost of US $144,000,000.
Jones Lang LaSalle proposal calls for 400-600 rooms that will have a total hard cost of US $122,000,000 and optional 20-story, 200-unit residential tower.
The Garfield Traub/Ashforth Pacific (“GTA”) proposal ranked first in the Portland Development Committee’s final vote followed by Faulkner USA (Hyatt), Jones Lang LaSalle, and Hines Interests/Wright Hotels.
In 2005, The Oregonian stated,"This proposal has been 15 years in the making".
Hines/Wright Hotels proposal calls for 800 or 500 rooms hotel; The 800 room hotel would consist of 3 skyscrapers, and the 500 would have two skyscrapers both of which will be built at maximum height allowed.
