Facts

  • By far the tallest building ever proposed for Madison, the tower would be almost 300 feet taller than the Wisconsin State Capitol, located less than one mile to the southwest.
  • Madison zoning regulations prevent any building within one mile of the Capitol from rising higher than the base of the rotunda (approximately 187 feet). It is unlikely the variances needed to construct this tower will be granted.
  • A scaled down Archipelago Village development was approved in 2014 that will consist of two 15-story and two 10-story buildings.
