  • Subtracting the transepts from the exterior, the cathedral measures 77 feet in width.
  • On 8th December, 1913 the church was dedicated to Mary. It became the cathedral for the Diocese of Lansing in 1939.
  • This classic example of Late Gothic Revival was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
  • In 1923 stained glass windows from Munich were installed.
  • The cornerstone of the church was laid on July 4, 1911.
  • This church basement level includes a crypt, a museum, and a chapel.
