Facts

  • Some unusual building materials were discovered embedded in the concrete wall of the bank vault including a car axle and several hub caps.
  • The original, manually controlled elevator has been operating since it was installed in 1921.
  • The second and third floor condominiums still contain the original 200 square foot, walk-in bank vaults which remain fully functional.
  • The exterior of the building was completely restored in 2005.
  • The original walk-in bank vault on the first floor was converted into a break room. The vault door was removed and a hole was cut through the 2 foot thick concrete wall so a window could be installed.
