Facts

  • While most of the facade is brick, spaced between the windows are polished, vertical slabs of Morton Gneiss, some of the oldest rock on earth.
  • A proposal to convert this empty office building to a condominium was submitted to the City of Edmonton in 2004. The redevelopment included adding a recessed-penthouse level as the eleventh floor. The proposal did not succeed and current plans are leaning toward the building's demolition.
