  • The original Chosun Hotel was Korea's only Western-style hotel for half a century, hosting distinguished American guests such as Bob Hope (1903-2003) and U.S. Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey (1911-1978).
  • The original, 4-floor Chosun Hotel, a landmark of Korean hospitality and tourism designed by the German architectural firm Goetheland, opened on 10 October 1914.
