  • There are some 15,000 documents and books but only photocopies are displayed in the two exhibition rooms. The originals are housed in a secret location, but written permission from the Ministry of Information and Culture will allow you to see the documents.
  • President Karzai reopened the National Archive in March 2002.
  • Emir Adurrahman Khan built this beautiful 100 year-old mini palace for his son. The building reverted to the state on the Emir’s death.
