Facts

  • At the top of the curved corner the building has a 2-story atrium which is lit up at night.
  • A private park fills the back side of the lot between the building and the Union Pacific train tracks.
  • The granite curtain wall extends in slabs down to sidewalk level to shield the rounded columns - a device also used in Jahn's Thompson Center and other buildings.
  • A Wieboldt's department store occupied this site before construction of this office building.
  • The back side of the building is all glass, and gives the impression of a broad mountain seen through blue haze.
  • A colonnade wraps around the south and west sides, using architect Helmut Jahn's trademark striped sidewalk pattern.
