Facts

  • The church occupies a small triangular block where Grove and Lake Streets come together.
  • The design of this church is one of many derived from St. Martin in the Fields on Trafalgar Square in London.
  • The front facade forms the eastern enclosure of Raymond Park, a one-square-block park across the street.
  • This is the third building the church has built on this site. The first lasted from 1870 until it burned down in 1884, and a romanesque revival church replaced it in 1886.
