Facts

  • The building wraps around two sides of the adjacent Pioneer Building. The buildings are connected at the ground and skyway levels.
  • This is the only large commercial building in St. Paul designed by hometown architect Cass Gilbert.
  • It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, and designated a St. Paul Heritage Preservation Site in 1979.
  • It is directly connected by skyway to the Jackson Parking Ramp and the Warren E. Burger Federal Building & United States Courthouse.
