Facts

  • Tsinghua Xuetang was built in two stages. The western part was constructed from 1909 to 1911 and used for classrooms while the eastern portion was completed in 1916.
  • The four Chinese characters "Tsing Hua Xue Tang" painted on the main entrance, were copied from an inscription by Na Tong, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Department at the time.
