  • Celebrated its groundbreaking on October 25, 1955, and was officially dedicated on December 15, 1956 as the Hotel Stafford.
  • Takes its name from the former Stafford Graded School built in 1924 that was demolished to make way for this tower.
  • It was also used as offices for the Bank of Tuscaloosa until the Tuscaloosa Plaza was constructed.
  • Reopened as a 31 unit apartment building with ground-level office space in August 1987.
