  • Radio commentator Jerry Buckley was shot and killed in the hotel's lobby on July 23, 1930.
  • The building was imploded on March 3, 1996 to make way for the Crosswinds Communities condominium complex.
  • A single story lobby was built along Woodward Avenue in anticipation of the widening of Woodward. It was demolished in 1935.
