Structure in General
During the civil war, the building was hit by many mortar shells. At the end of the civil war in 1991, this building was one of very few empty war torn buildings which the developer bought.
At the beginning of the civil war, the majority of the expatriates fled the country and thus the owner destroyed all of the apartment bathrooms rendering the apartments unusable to avoid refugees to occupy the building. During the civil war, the building was hit by many mortar shells.
This project encompassed the re-development of an existing war torn building.
The building was originally designed by a Swiss architect by the name of Adore et Julliard and built in 1964. It was originally ten floors high accommodating approximately 70 apartments, owned by one family renting the apartments out to expatriates.
