Facts

  • Designed and manufactured in Italy, each reflective glass sheet measures 1.5 square meters.
  • The tower's name derives from its location at the west end of HaNevi'im Street, one of Haifa's first and largest commercial streets.
  • Noted as being Haifa's first modern mall, its 6 retail floors featured a 4-floor 7,000 sqm Shekem department store in the style of "Le grand magasin"
  • Tallest all-glass tower in Haifa.
  • First and only high-rise in Israel with an operating underground station; Shalom Mayer Tower in Tel Aviv has an underground station, however it is not in use.
  • Once mostly occupied by government offices, before the completion of The Sail Tower.
  • Formerly the compund of Villa Churi / Khouri
  • As other malls opened, the tower's mall suffered many store closures, the cinema complex now houses a theatre and most stores were turned into office space.
  • The mall featured Israel's first indoor inclined moving walkway.
