Facts

  • Today, the palace hosts the Museum of Turkish Ceramics & Tiles.
  • One of the oldest Ottoman palaces in the city, it was built by Mehmed II "The Conqueror", who took Constantinople on May 29, 1453. It is known as "Çinili Kösk" (Tiled Pavilion) due to the extensive use of blue tile mosaics on its façade.
