Facts

  • The building is connected by skyway to the McKnight Building and TriTech Office Center.
  • A proposal to convert this building into a boutique hotel was announced in early 2006. A 35-story condominium tower called the 401 Residences was proposed just to the east, but it has been put on indefinite hold as of October 2006 due to a saturated condominium market in downtown Minneapolis.
  • The building re-opened in August 2008 as the Hotel Minneapolis.
