The Laurier Tower is built on a narrow piece of land surrounded by streets. To the north is Laurier Ave., to the east is the Transitway and to the west is Nicholas St., which both come to a point on the south end of the property.
Two historic homes also occupy the narrow property. One of the requirements for getting the building permit was for these two homes to remain intact, although they are not currently occupied.
A ground-level garden terrace, accessible to residents, adorns the area between the Laurier Tower and the two historic homes.
Situated in the downtown core, the Laurier Tower is close to many amenities, such as the University of Ottawa, the Rideau Centre, Rideau Canal and Parliament Hill, amongst others.
