  • This building features a revolving restaurant on the top floor.
  • The Building is named after the first State President of the Republic of South Africa (after the Union of South Africa gained complete independence from Great Britain in 1961).
  • The building was constructed to house the Provincial Administration of the then Orange Free State and has retained this Government use, currently housing some departments of the Free State provincial government.
  • A large electronic board displays the time and ground temperature on the outside of the building.
  • This building was constructed in addition to the Sand du Plessis and André Huguenet theatre complexes, with the three buildings occupying an entire city block.
  • The C.R. Swart Building is the tallest office complex in the city of Bloemfontein.
