Facts

  • Sears, Roebuck & Co., built this larger structure to replace one it then sold at Northland Lofts in North Kansas City, Missouri.
  • This structure was shut down as the result of a company-wide consolidation in 1997 and no facility replaced it in Metropolitan Kansas City.
  • A low-rise addition constructed in 1977 was purchased by the United States Postal Service and now serves as a regional distribution center for first-class mail; employees now park where the old section of the building stood.
