  • The department store building was built in several phases, starting in 1912. The tallest section at the north end of the building along Main Street was built by Maxon Construction in 1955.
  • Formerly Dayton's grandest department store, the Rike-Kumler Company Building was demolished in late 1999 to make way for Performance Place.
