  • Built for the AMP company, this building served as their state headquarters until the company moved to their current South Australian head office at 1 King William Road in 1967.
  • Up until the late 1990s the building served as office accomodation, however with the advent of more modern office accomodation coming onto the market, the building became derelict.
  • Currently the building is been converted into student accomodation, however due to the building's state heritage listing, its external appearance will not change.
  • The building has 2 squash courts in the roof plant structure.
  • This building is regarded as a notable exponent of the Classical Revival & Beaux Arts style of architecture by the Royal Australian Institute of Architects.
