  • The building was officially inaugurated on May 1, 2004.
  • The building is connected via the basement with Palau de Congressos.
  • The hotel restaurant is open 24 hours a day.
  • There are three technical floors: one under the observation deck on the 13th floor, another over the building's lobby and a third on the top of the building.
  • The building has 240 standard, 80 executive, 40 business-class and 8 suite rooms, most of them with panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea.
  • There is a big palm tree on the 13th floor observation deck.
  • On the 15th floor there is a sign with the name of the building in big capital letters "AC" over dark gray granite and "HOTEL" over a glass curtain wall.
  • A steel structure was placed on top of the building in March 2004 to support a new nameplate.
  • The building features a glass balcony above the entrance area.
  • The building features a large sign on the second floor facing Edifici Fòrum. It says: 'AC BARCELONA' in big capital letters.
  • This was the second high-rise hotel opened in Diagonal Mar , after Hotel Princess Barcelona opened two months earlier.
