  • This massive skyscraper would have been the tallest building outside of the USA when mooted in 1972. The all-concrete structure was one of many designs - including twin 250m office/hotel towers - put forward for the large site. The City Council finally adopted the current 60-storey tower, known as the MLC Centre:MLC Centre], which was the tallest concrete building in the world upon completion.
