Facts

  • This is the first high-rise in Illinois to use a precast concrete structure. Only the foundation is poured on site; the rest consists of solid panels and columns delivered to the site.
  • The building was erected with a mobile crane, instead of the tower cranes normally used in high-rise construction.
  • Because of the unusual construction method, crews could not work within the crane's radius and had to switch back and forth as the crane moved.
