Bust of ing. prof. dr. Carol Nicolae Debie (1904-1992), founder and director of the Petrochim Institute and important figure in the history of Ploiesti. Built with the occasion of the 60th anniversary of IPIP SA and 20th anniversary of Petroconsult SRL.
Former Romanian President Emil Constantinescu was present at the inauguration. Carol Nicolae Debie was the brother of his grandmother.
It is part of an ensemble of 3 structures: the bust, a tetrahedron (the form of crystallization of the carbon atom, but also a symbol of the Cosmos) and a fountain with seven springs, which symbolizes the personality of the one who, throug development h his contribution to the of many fields of activity, is a model for the current generation and for future generations.
