  • Building was inaugurated on 16th of September of 1955 by General Francisco Franco, dictator who governed Spain from 1939 to 1975.
  • The building's original name was 'Residencia Almirante Vierma'.
  • In 1970 a new story was added.
  • When inaugurated by General Francisco Franco, some of the people in the hospital pretended to be patients.
  • When completed, it was the third tallest building in Spain.
  • Works started on 29th of August of 1949.
  • In 2002, the building received a new façade and a new emergency elevator. The new façade has a characteristic old copper color.
